These cranes live part of their life on the Tibetan Plateau and are considered to be extremely good luck byt the Tibetans who live there. They are said to be messenger and to love lightning. I saw all this.....

Wicki Van De Veer lives and works in Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii. She is a painter, working primarily in oil and watercolor, who creates visons inspired by her travels in Nepal and Tibet as well as by her beloved Hawaii. Images of people, plants and animals enrich her paintings. All of her work reflects a love of nature and of the everyday moments which illuminate the beauty of our lives. She was educated at the University of California, Berkeley (B. A. Humanities ) and at the University of California at Santa Cruz (B.A. Painting). She is a Fellow of Dorland Mountain Arts.
